Athlete of the Week: Kathy Tatum

When & where did you start doing CrossFit? I started crossfit at Raptor Crossfit on Langley AFB in 2012.

Favorite WOD or exercise? Annie is a great WOD. I also love doing deadlifts.

Least Favorite WOD or exercise? Fran. So intimidating. CTB are my worst enemy. They wear me out and I cant seem to get them together.

Favorite Lift? Deadlifts.

Least favorite lift? Snatches. Cant get my hips into it.

Favorite hobbies outside of CrossFit? Don’t really have any other than keeping my kids entertained.

What is your profession? Information Assurance Officer for the F22 network.

What were your thoughts after your first CrossFit workout? I wanted to die but it was so much fun.

What are your short term and long-term CrossFit goals? Short term is to get my muscle-ups strung together. Long term is to get 300 on my back squat.

What are some of your greatest achievements inside the gym? Not letting my competitive side get the best of me. I need to understand my limits and not let the mental game get in the way.

How has CrossFit affected your life outside the Gym? I have become a little more confident in my appearance because there are other people that have a bigger build like me.

What advice would you give to a newbie just joining CrossFit Stimulus? Have fun and kick some ass!

Your favorite cheat meal is? Buffalo Chicken wings

A fun fact about me is? Im a computer geek and love playing C&C.
